About the authors

Anja Dunk grew up in the Welsh countryside where homegrown produce and wild foraging were part of daily life. Here began her love for preserving. She now lives with her young family just outside London where she is a cook and an artist. She is also the author of Strudel, Noodles & Dumplings (Fourth Estate 2018) and Advent (Quadrille 2021).

Mimi Beaven and her photographer husband Richard live in the Hudson Valley, New York. Over the past decade they raised two daughters and founded, rebuilt and ran a farm and kitchen. They have since moved away from farming, but still enjoy the bounty of the area's many small producers. And Mimi continues to teach cooking classes.

Jen Goss lives on a smallholding in West Wales with her family, following a lifelong dream to live by the sea and work the land. Her produce – and that from surrounding hedgerows - provides ample supplies for Our Two Acres, her catering company. She is the co-author of Do Smoke: A modern guide to cooking and curing (October 2024).
